Prof. Hans Straka passed away
The GSN and MCN announce with great sadness the passing of GSN Core Faculty Member and MCN Board Member

The sudden and premature death of GSN Faculty member and MCN Board Member Prof. Hans Straka on Friday, December 9th, has left us in shock.
After several years abroad, Prof. Straka returned to LMU Munich in 2009, from where he taught, mentored, and inspired so many people in the neuroscientific community.
He leaves a gap in the GSN and MCN, which cannot be filled. He will be severely missed by colleagues, students, family, and friends for his energy, determination, and for his kindness.
