Neuro-Imaging-Core-Unit-Munich (NICUM)

The integrative and transdisciplinary research laboratory, one of the most recent initiatives of the MCN, is now operational

Under the umbrella of MCN-LMU, the Neuro-Imaging-Core-Unit-Munich is jointly operated by the Department of Psychology at LMU, the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, and the Clinic and Polyclinic for Children's and adolescent psychiatry, psychosomatics, and psychotherapy at the University of Munich Clinic. The integrative and transdisciplinary research laboratory of the Munich Center for Neurosciences - Brain & Mind (MCN-LMU) was established in 2019, with funds from the DFG and LMU Munich.

The NICUM has a state-of-the-art Siemens 3 Tesla MRI system and MR-compatible EEG, TMS, and eye-tracking systems, plus a stimulus presentation VPixx system, equipped for cognitive, neurological, and psychiatric experiments. In addition, NICUM also has two behavioral laboratories.
