The Collaborative Research Center 870 (also Sonderforschungsbereich 870) "Assembly and Function of Neuronal Circuits", under the scientific management of Dr. Richard Moll, was successfully renewed by the DFG, providing more than €11 million over 4 years to continue increasing our knowledge of neuronal circuits. The center will continue to support the established intensive interactions between researchers working on the assembly and function of neuronal circuits, as well as broadening the center's conceptual framework to include new topics and model systems. Projects on motor systems and sensory-motor interactions, as well as axonal properties influencing neuronal circuits, were successfully integrated into the second funding period.
