Further Information
Research focus:
- Oculo-motor function in subjects with focal cerebellar or brain lesions: eye movements are measured with 3-D-video oculography or search coil technic, headad movements or associated limb movements are measured with ultra-Sound System. Target can be presented with a 3-D visual reallity googles or on a video Screen. Beside the oculomotor function also psychopysical examniations (e.g. discrimination tasks) can be measured.
- Pain Inhibition: spinal nociceptice Reflexes are used as read out for the function of descending antinociceptive System activity.
- A mice model of Primary CNS lymphoma is established in the lab and the interaction of host lymphocytes with the Tumor lymphocytes can be measured continously in vivo by dual photon microscopy. Beside that the influence of cytocines on the survival of the tumor cells is investigated in cell preparations (in vitro).
Key words: Clinical neuroscience, functional imaging, sensorimotor research
