Further Information
Research focus:
I lead the research group “multimodal imaging of normal and pathological cognition”. Our major clinical focus is neurodegenerative disorders, especially dementia. Here, our ultimate aim is to develop imaging-based biomarkers for routine clinical settings as well as for clinical trials. From the methodological point of view we rely on the concept of brain connectivity. We also investigate imaging correlates of normal cognitive function such as working memory. Our main research method is positron emission tomography; further methods are structural, functional MRI, diffusion tensor imaging, and multimodal imaging.
