7th LMU-Harvard Young Scientists' Forum (YSF)

The seventh LMU-Harvard Young Scientists' Forum (YSF) took place at the Center for Advanced Studies and the Campus Martinsried. The scientific program of the three-day meeting (June 29 - July 1) was complemented by a welcome dinner on June 28 and an excursion day on July 2.

Traditionally, the yearly alternating YSF format covers a broad range of topics (ranging from Chemical and Molecular Biology to Behavioural Neurosciences). Scientific sessions this year touched on proteomics, as well as stem cell research, neural circuit formation, neural processing and adaptation.

Harvard nominations were received from the labs of Paola Arlotta, David Cox, Kevin EgganFlorian Engert, Lisa Goodrich, Steven Gygi, Wilhelm Haas, Jeffrey Macklis, Venkatesh Murthy, Daniel Polley, Bernardo Sabattini, Amar Sahay, and Alex Schier.

Munich nominations were received from the labs of Tobias Bonhoeffer, Axel Borst, Thomas Carell, Magdalena Götz, Benedikt Grothe, Mark Hübener, Axel Imhof, Stefan Lichtenthaler, Karin Meissner, Martha Merrow, Thomas Misgeld, and Till Roenneberg.
